My story

Experience with children

Although I have no formal experience working with children, I am passionate about working with them. In my personal life, I have two younger siblings, and I have always loved spending time with them. Additionally, I have been engaged in helping and supporting children in community settings back in my home country, India. These informal experiences have guided me to choose Early Childhood Education, allowing me to turn my interest into a profession and work towards the better development of young children. In my course at Humber, I am already, I am developing various skills and I am looking forward to learn more during my placements with children.

Future Professional Goals

In the journey with Early childhood education, I want to see myself as an instructor who supports the development of every child through play-based learning. I will create an inclusive environment for children and respect their unique qualities and backgrounds. I will aim to include every child with diverse cultures and traditions. Also, building strong and trusting relationships with families, colleagues, and children is my focus. I ensure to create more creative space and stay open for feedback, as well as for continuous learning. During the placements, I want to practice hands-on with children, of what I have learnt in my course curriculum.
